For some reason it wouldn't let me cut and paste this into the post and it's to late to figure it out so here is the post! Eileen and got tickets for this in the summer and it was an event in itself. It took us hours but Eileen finally scored two tickets. I have been wanting to go every year since I moved to Baltimore. We started off the day with Jimmy Eat World. After they played, I decided that although they are ridiculously catchy I pretty much hate them. We then made our way to the dance forest (the coolest place in the world). This was equivalent of a very mellow rave. After getting some shade, we decided to make our way to all the sponsor tents and get as much free stuff as possible. Toyota won hands down. Bandanas soaked in ice water and shrinky dinks, holla. We then went to Joan Jett. She was okay, but we had to book over to Chromeo. I loved every minute of it, even though I had to leave before Fancy Footwork to see Ludacris. He was amazing! Every song you could have wanted to hear he did. Even random songs he did the hooks for. Loved him! Then we saw a bit of Pavement before moving back for M.I.A. They haven’t played together for years. Okay, I love Paper Planes (Who doesn’t?) but nothing could have prepared me for the craziness that is M.I.A. She came out in this loco gold raincoat with sunglasses and hot pink lipstick. She ripped the raincoat off and was wearing an even more loco satin booty short outfit. She danced like a stripper who was short on rent money and had these hooded backup singers that stood in front of the mic and didn’t sing for over an hour. Then she walked off the stage without singing Paper Planes and stayed off stage long enough to piss people off before she came back and ended the show with it. Oh yeah, she also had a mosh pit on stage and was jumping in the crowd and getting felt up. Defiantly something to see.
